This award is given specially to students of Iran universities and palces of higher education. Subjects are mainly of scientific nature but also comprise of culture and arts too.
Secretariate of the award is in the Jihad Daneshgahi a body established after Islamic revolution to support advances in science and culture and the prizes are given to best works produced in the pasdt year.
Ceremonies are held on the Iranian Book Week on October/November in which the parliament speaker is the guest of honor.
