The secretariat of the 27th Book of the Year Award of the Islamic Republic of Iran called for all the works by translators, publishers and authors to be submitted by the end of the current summer.

In a ceremony which will be held on next Bahman (January-February 2009) the Book of the Year award of Iran wilol be presented to best of authors, translators, and editors. All are  invited to submit their works to the secretariat of the Award by September 22, 2009. All

the works are need to have been published for the first time in the previous year in Persian calendar 1387. Moreover, educational and supplementary educational books are not allowed in the competition. 

Last year, 15,000 works were submitted to the secretariat of the Award which were short listed to 27 finalists.

Book of the year award is an annual award organized by the ministry of culture and is in its 27th year since the Islamic Revolution.
