Calligraphy has been an important part of Iranian artistic life since the Islamic Era.Iranian calligraphy masters have invented new styles and have created some of the best Writings of holy text ,Quran, as their main interst.

The Iranian calligraphy has developed since Islamic revolution ,but the artists did not have a national venue to participate and compete.

Qazvin in Central Iran will be the place to hold the first Iranian biennial of calligraphy and the ministry of culture will support the event.
