One of the Oldest art festivals of Islamic Republic of Iran has called on artists and art directors to send their works to the 28th festival of theater.

The festival started two years after Islamic revolution in Iran and it was Imam Khomeini who bu praising a play by Iranian artists triggered the smooth rolling of this branch of arts in revolutionary Iran.

Organizers will be the Center for Performance Arts in Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Association of Performance Artists of Iran and International Institute of Theater.

The festival will be a venue for presentation of plays and other sections of theater in Tehran and other cecters of provinces.

Festival will have fourteen sections and it will be held from 22Jan -2nd Apr 2009.
